Update: Thammasat University has discussed an academic collaboration with University of Exeter, Wisconsin Law School and George Washington University.

Thammasat and University of Exeter seek link-ups.

     Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, the Rector of Thammasat, along with the Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, met with Prof. Richard Follett, Exeter University’s Global Deputy Vice-Chancellor, on the possibility of potential collaboration in the areas of exchanges and research between the two universities during a visit to Thammasat-Rangsit on 24 June 2024. Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement in the Faculty of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences and the Regional Head for Global Partnerships from the University of Exeter in the UK were also part of the delegation.

     During the meeting, Prof. Follet expressed Exeter’s eager interest in establishing new Dual Degree partnerships in a “2+2” program or “3+1” program with other prospective faculties at Thammasat. The two sides agreed that Thammasat has faculties with great potential for collaboration, namely the Thammasat Business School, the Faculties of Engineering, Law, Liberal Arts, Political Science, Economics, Journalism and Mass Communication, as well as the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology.

     The OIA at Thammasat will survey the interest of faculties to support the expanded linkups between both universities.

Thammasat Law School and Wisconsin Law School expand link-ups.

     24 June 2024 – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, the Vice Rector for International Affairs, joined Asst. Prof. Dr. Amnart Tangkiriphimarn, the Associate Dean for International Affairs and International Programs at the Thammasat Faculty of Law, in a meeting with the Associate Dean for International Affairs and International Programs and the Director for East Asian Legal Studies Center and Senior Advisor, Graduate Programs, from the Law School, University of Wisconsin-Madison in the USA, at the Faulty of Law on the Thammasat-Tha Prachan campus. The Dean of the School of Global Studies and executives from the Thammasat Faculty of Law also attended the meeting.

     The Thammasat Law School and Wisconsin Law School currently cooperate at the faculty-level via dual degree, exchanges and a “3+1” program. Both sides discussed ways to enhance further academic activities.

     24 มิถุนายน 2567 – รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ร่วมกับ ผศ. ดร.อำนาจ ตั้งคีรีพิมาน รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และหลักสูตรนานาชาติ คณะนิติศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ให้การต้อนรับรองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และหลักสูตรนานาชาติและผู้อำนวยการศูนย์การศึกษากฎหมายอาเซียนตะวันออกและหลักสูตรบัณฑิตศึกษา จากคณะนิติศาสตร์ University of Wisconsin–Madison ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ณ คณะนิติศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ โดยมี ผศ. ดร.ประภาภรณ์ ติวยานนท์ มงคลวนิช คณบดีวิทยาลัยโลกคดีศึกษา ร่วมหารือในครั้งนี้ด้วย

     ปัจจุบันคณะนิติศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ และ Wisconsin Law School เป็นคู่สัญญาในระดับคณะ ที่ได้มีกิจกรรมร่วมกันในหลักสูตร Dual Degree การแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา รวมถึงโปรแกรม “3+1” นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางการสนับสนุนกิจกรรมทางวิชาการร่วมกันในอนาคตด้วย

Thammasat and George Washington University seek university-level partnership.

     24 June 2024 – The Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, met with the Director of I-Corps, Mr. Bob Smith, and Ms. Kerry Slattery, Program Manager for International Entrepreneurship, from the Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at George Washington University (GWU) in the USA, during a visit to Thammasat-Rangsit. Joining the Vice Rector to welcome the GWU delegation were the Director of the Center of Intellectual Property and Business Incubator (TUIPI), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jirada Singkhonrat, and staff as well as the OIA Coordinator for Europe.

     Both sides considered the possibility of potential collaboration between the two universities in the areas of university-based innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem building. Afterwards, GWU side presented a brief on its two-week Team Development Program which offers attendees the chance to upskill themselves to become entrepreneurs with effective techniques to build a network.

     The Thammasat TUIPI Director also gave a brief introduction to TUIPI activities and funding opportunities.

     24 มิถุนายน 2567 – รศ. ดร.สุปรีดี ฤทธิรงค์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ หารือกับ Mr. Bob Smith ผู้อำนวยการ I-Corps และ Ms. Kerry Slattery, Program Manager for International Entrepreneurship จาก Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, The George Washington University จากประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยมี รศ. ดร.จิรดา สิงขรรัตน์ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาและบ่มเพาะวิสาหกิจ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่ประจำศูนย์ฯ และผู้ประสานงานภูมิภาคยุโรปจากกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ผู้เข้าร่วมด้วย ณ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต

     โดยหารือความเป็นไปได้ในการทำความร่วมมือร่วมกันระหว่างสองสถาบัน ในด้าน University-based Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Building ซึ่งทาง The George Washington University ได้นำเสนอข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับโปรแกรม Team Development ระยะเวลา 2 สัปดาห์ ซึ่งเป็นโปรแกรมพัฒนาทักษะผู้เข้าเรียนเพื่อเป็นนักลงทุน รวมถึงแนวทางการสร้างเครือข่ายแบบมีประสิทธิภาพ

     นอกจากนี้ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาฯ ได้นำเสนอข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับศูนย์ฯ กิจกรรมการดำเนินงานรวมถึงแหล่งทุนในการสนับสนุนกิจกรรมด้วย
